Well here we are yet again! On Saturday the 25th of June 2011 at 9:00am the 4th annual International Sonic the Hedgehog fan convention will begin and I cannot wait personally; I’ve been part of the hard work involved behind the scenes every year and this is no different. With the perhaps slight difference that it is also Sonic’s 20th Birthday and the celebrations will tie in neatly with the annual convention.
As it happens…
We will be keeping you up to date with happenings live via our Twitter feed. We may even find time to post the odd video or two on our YouTube channel seconds after filming it so keep an eye there if you can’t attend the convention (More video to come via SEGASonic:TV soon).

Anyway, we here at SEGA Media (aka FastFeet & friends) have many of our own plans for this years Summer of Sonic which we can now reveal to you:
OMG… Hedgie Ears!
Those of you who went to SoS ’09 may remember my own hedgie ears, well now you can be a hedgie (or a fox) with these very cute and fitting ‘Hedgie Ears’ that will be available to purchase alongside other merch on the day:
There are 5 colours available – Pink (Amy), White (Silver/Rouge), Blue (Sonic), Black (Shadow) and Orange (Tails) and are in limited numbers to purchase @ £4 each. Hand made by Maria-Robotnik of Deviantart and Black Hero fame who will be selling these on the fan merchanise stall at this years convention.
Music & DJ sets
This year at Summer of Sonic there are a variety of acts on the main stage, we will be running the decks so when nothing is happening we’ll be playing a variety of tunes from Sonic’s history. DJ’s will include FastFeet (SEGA Media), Turbos (SEGASonic:Radio), BlitzChris (SEGASonic:Radio) and Gavvie (RadioSEGA).
Feel free to come over and say hello during the day and make a request or two! We’ll be located close to the front of the Camden Centre venue (we’re on your left when you walk in). By paying us a visit you can also…

Yep I finally have more swag to giveaway to 1 of you lucky Summer of Sonic attendees! Win our mystery goodie bag by showing us your sneakers at the DJ booth between 12pm – 6pm on Saturday. Whoever has the sneakers that look most like Sonic’s (or are way past cool) wins. Simple!
