1b: SEGA Media is a non-profit organisation and as such is supported by donations. Any content generated by SEGA Media is never charged to visitors.
1c: The purpose of this fan website is to promote and celebrate the SEGA and Sonic the Hedgehog franchises as well as the videogame industry as a whole. No harm is intended by any content published on this website.
1d: SEGA®, Sonic Team®, Sonic the Hedgehog® and all other related characters and trademarks are copyright © SEGA. This organisation is in no way affiliated with SEGA® or Sonic Team®. This website is not owned by, nor represented by SEGA.
Clause 2: The SEGA Media website
2a: Any content or material originating from the SEGA Media website starting with the URL “http://www.segamedia.com” is not to be modified or placed anywhere else on the Internet and/or World Wide Web without the expressed permission of Graham ‘FastFeet’ Seward of SEGA Media.
2b: ‘Hot linking’ to any content with file extensions (except for web pages) on the SEGA Media website is prohibited; unless it has been pre-approved by Graham ‘FastFeet’ Seward or is a link to a web page.
2c: SEGA Media is powered by WordPress a set of PHP coded scripts available under the GNU General Public License and as such is freeware.
2d: The SEGA Media Forums are powered by Simple:Press, a set of PHP coded scripts available under the GNU General Public License and as such is freeware.
Clause 3: Downloads and Streaming content
3a: “Downloads” refers to the large archive of SEGA®, Sonic the Hedgehog®, Video Game media, user submitted content as well as SEGA Media’s own in house projects. The files available via ‘Podcasts’, ‘Music’ and ‘Videos’ are made available for free and are for educational purposes only under section 9 of the Copyright and Related Rights Regulation Act of 2003.
3b: The Podcasts, Music and Videos sections of SEGA Media provide streaming content and downloads for visitors, this is powered by the Download Monitor and Shadowbox plugins – a set of PHP coded scripts available under the GNU General Public License and as such is freeware.
Clause 4: SEGASonic:TV
All media (audio, images, video or otherwise) created for SEGASonic:TV is fan created, the basis for the majority of these productions is the video game character Sonic the Hedgehog®. As they are based on the fictional character of Sonic the Hedgehog®, any material created by SEGA Media is only a means of promotional, educational and/or research value under section 9 of the Copyright and Related Rights Regulation Act of 2003.
If the author of any material licensed by Sega® and/or Sonic Team® feels we are in violation of this please contact us as soon as possible.
Clause 5: Privacy and Terms & Conditions
5a: All personal information collected and stored for use on the domain www.segamedia.com is held in the strictest confidence. Information is only used to store member accounts and information, and is not used for any illegal or unsolicited purposes to any 3rd parties.
5b: Optional information that members submit do so at their own risk, SEGA Media does not take responsibility for any consequences this may cause. Members are free to remove optional information at anytime, members can request to have their account deleted by contacting us
5c: Member accounts that are no longer active will only be deleted if the member requests for this to be carried out by contacting SEGA Media.
5d: Having a SEGA Media member account is a privilege. If a member is found to be abusing or violating their account in any way whatsoever they will either be warned or banned from using the service as outlined by the SEGA Media membership rules.
